College Prep Series

Bridgestone College Prep Series

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour and Bridgestone Golf have added the Bridgestone College Prep Series to the 2012 Tour Schedule. The Bridgestone College Prep Series will feature stops at six of the top home courses of collegiate golf programs across the southeast over the course of the season. The Bridgestone College Prep Series will give junior golfers the full college golf experience; the Boys 15-18 division will play the courses at roughly 7,000 yards and the Girls 15-18 division will play at roughly 6,000 yards while also being able to become accustomed to the layout and difficulty of a collegiate course.

In addition to offering the full collegiate experience, Bridgestone Golf will supply some great products to all participants and divisional winners. Every player in each Bridgestone College Golf Prep Series tournament will take home a dozen Bridgestone B330 golf balls, a $40 value. Premium members in each tournament will also have access to the Bridgestone Challenge, which is featured at every tournament on the 2012 Tour Schedule. One Par 3, 4, and 5 hole will be designated for the two rounds of play as the Bridgestone Challenge holes. Three times the rewards points will be awarded for birdies and eagles on these holes and players with the lowest Par 3/4/5 Performance Average, respectively, will take home one dozen Bridgestone B330 golf balls and a Bridgestone Golf hat.

The Bridgestone College Prep Series will offer a truly unmatched experience for junior golfers across the southeast. With an opportunity to play a collegiate golf course at some of the top programs in the southeast, as well as take home great Bridgestone Golf products, the Bridgestone College Prep Series will highlight the 2012 HJGT schedule. "I feel like the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour was a huge part of my success in signing with a D-1 college. The exposure I received from the HJGT led to many D-1 colleges contacting me and following my stats. HJGT offers many tournaments that are fun, competitive, and convenient to play."

Jon Newsome

"As a parent of a successful jr. golfer and two time winner on the HJGT, I can tell you that large national tournaments and invitational's are a great way to see the competition, but becoming the best in your region of the country and proving it over and over again on a jr. tour like the HJGT will gain you more recognition, not to mention consistently help you in your national rankings."
