Champion Trace Jr. Challenge November 9-10
Nicholasville, Kentucky will be the next stop for the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour as they will host the Champion Trace Jr. Challenge at Champion Trace GC on November 9-10. There’s a lot at stake at the event as the winners in the Boys 15-18, Boys 11-14, and Girls 15-18 will receive AJGA Performance stars if the field requirements are met and an invitation to the HJGT’s 2013 Tour Championship. Those winners will also receive a $50 Kikkor Golf gift card. The winners, along with other top ten finishers will receive points towards year-end honors. Those points will also count towards the 2013 Hurricane Cup.
The Champion Trace Jr. Challenge will be a 36 hole stroke play event. The first round will begin on Saturday with a double tee start, running from 8:00AM-10:00AM. The final round will also be a double tee start on Sunday with times ranging from 8:00AM-10:00AM. The registration fee is $179 for members and $199 for non-members. The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2008 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of four age divisions: Boys 15-18, Boys 11-14, Girls 11-14 and Girls 15-18. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, and Ohio.
