March Players of the Month

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour is proud to be sponsored by Bobby Grace Putters. Throughout the year players are afforded the opportunity to win a free putter by becoming the Player of the Month. One player in each division will be chosen to receive this prestigious award. Winners will take home a brand new Bobby Grace Putter and head cover. Each putter is customized with the official logo of the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Players who receive this prize can be assured that they are taking home one of the best putters used in golf today.

This month, in the Boys 15-18 Division, the player of the month is Carl Yuan of Lake Mary, Florida. Yuan shot impressive rounds at the Major Championship at Timacuan by posting a -6 two day total score. Yuan shot a record 69 in the first round and also shot a 69 in the second round. Yuan was able to overcome tough weather conditions in the event to take the win. Yuan had the most birdies out of the tournament with a total of 11. Yuan also led the field in multiple categories including the best Par 4 (3.90) and Par 5 (4.25) performance averages. Congratulations to Carl Yuan on becoming the March Bobby Grace Putters Player of the Month.

In the Girls 15-18 Division Bella Skinner of Cumming, Georgia is the Bobby Grace Putter Player of the Month. Skinner placed first in the most recent HJGT event at the Chateau Elan Jr. Shootout. Skinner posted an impressive lowest first round score of 67. In her first round Skinner had a total of seven birdies. Skinner dominated the field in multiple categories for Chateau Elan Junior Shootout tournament including: most birdies (11), Par 4 Performance Average (3.95), and the best Par 5 Performance Average (4.67). Skinner is well deserving of receiving the title of the Bobby Grace Putters Player of the Month.

The Boys 11-14 Division player of the month is Hunter Dunagan of Martinez, Georgia. Dunagan has placed first in numerous tournaments that he has participated in for the 2012 season. Dunagan took home the first place trophy in the following tournaments: Chateau Elan Junior Shootout, Major Championship at Magnolia Plantation, and the Mirror Lake Junior Classic. In his most recent tournament at Chateau Elan, Dunagan had the most pars or better with an impressive percentage of 88.9%. Dunagan also had the best Par 3 Performance Average (2.75, the best Par 4 Performance Average (4.09), and the most pars with a total of 27. Congratulations to Hunter Dunagan for becoming the Bobby Grace Putters Player of the Month.

In the Girls 11-14 Division, Harmanprit Kaur of Lawrenceville, Georgia, takes home this month’s Bobby Grace Putter award. Kaur won her first ever HJGT event at the Chateau Elan Junior Shootout. Kaur led the field in all categories in the tournament to compliment her taking home the first place trophy, including: most birdies (2), par three performance average (3.25), par four performance average (4.36), and par five performance average (5.17). Congratulations to Harmanprit Kaur on winning her first HJGT event and taking home this month’s Bobby Grace Putters Player of the Month.
