Dr. Robert K. Winters is an internationally recognized sport psychologist, author and professional educator.  He is the President of his own performance enhancement company located in Orlando, Florida and he is also the Resident Sport Psychologist for the internationally renowned David Leadbetter Golf Academy World Teaching Headquarters at Champions Gate in Orlando, Florida.

 

Dr. Robert K. Winters completed his Ph.D. degree in Sport Psychology from the Curry School of Education at the University of Virginia and served on the athletic coaching staff for eight years.  Affectionately known as “Dr. Bob,” he is a former collegiate and touring professional with over 40 years of competitive experience.  His professional clientele’ consists of touring and amateur golfers from around the globe and he has been equally successful working with men’s and women’s collegiate sport teams, as well as business executives, corporate groups and private clinics and individuals. He has worked with over 75 Collegiate All-Americans and has two NCAA Division I Individual Champions, two Division II Individual champions, and multiple Conference Champions as well as Divisions II and III golf championship winners.

Dr. Winters is considered a leading authority in the field of confidence enhancement, sports vision and putting psychology.  He was the mental game consultant for NBC Sports and Quokka Sports networks on golf.com and he is now a Mental Game Consultant for the following magazines: Golfweek, PGA Tour Partners Magazine, and Golf International Magazine  He is acontributor to The Golf Channel and has also served as mental game consultant for Golfweek Magazine and Golfweek.com with the series entitled “The Winning Mind with Dr. Robert Winters”.  Dr. Winters is also the mental game advisor to the Golfweek National Pro tour, FCWT, Hurricane, and Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tours.

 

Dr Winters is one of the original directors of NIKE Golf Schools and US Sports Schools.  Dr. Winters is the author or co-author of several publications, CD’s and audio books, notably the best-selling book, The Mental Art of Putting: Using Your Mind to Putt Your Best and  The Ten Commandments of Mindpower Golf.   He also has the computer DVD entitled Putting Genius.  He has a new book that is soon to be released entitled:  Make No Mistakes!  First Aid For Your Golfing Brain!
