Honors and Awards

HJGT Tour Championship
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour will have a year ending Tour Championship which will be an invitational event. Players who finish first in their age division in an HJGT event will receive automatic bids into the Tour Championship. The rest of the field will receive HJGT staff invitations based on end of the year point totals and outstanding tournament performance. Points earned at the tour championship will be applied to 2012. The 2012 HJGT Tour Championship will be held on December 8-9, 2012 at the ChampionsGate Golf Club.

HJGT Major Championships

The HJGT will conduct a total of five major championships during 2012 season. Those who finish in the top ten will receive 1.5 times the normal point structure. All of these events will feature AJGA exemptions. On the 2012 Tour Schedule, Major Championships are denoted by “Major Championship” in their name and are all sponsored by MoRodz.

All HJGT Teams

Players who finish in the top three (Boys) and top three (Girls) in the points standings, prior to the tour championship, will be named to the all HJGT team. These awards will be given out at the season ending tour championship.

 

NYX Golf Sportsmanship Award

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour is proud to announce our new NYX Golf Sportsmanship Award beginning March 1st in conjunction with NYX Eyewear. The NYX Sportsmanship Award recipients are two individuals (one boy, one girl) that the HJGT staff selected who have best represented the standards of the tour. These golfers demonstrate great sportsmanship by treating their fellow playing partners with respect, keeping a positive attitude during competition, and most importantly representing themselves in an honorable fashion on and off the course. EFX Weekly Birdie Challenge
For every HJGT tournament of the 2012 season, players with the most birdies in their age division will receive an EFX Performance Bracelet. ($30 value). Seaforth Par 4 Challenge

For every HJGT tournament of the 2012 season, players with the lowest Par 4 Performance Average in their age division will receive a Seaforth Rain Gear golf bag hood ($25 value). The golf bag hood will be awarded at the player’s next HJGT tournament after winning the challenge. Coolheads Par 5 Challenge
For every HJGT tournament of the 2012 season, players with the lowest Par 5 Performance Average in their age division will receive a Coolheads headcover ($20 value). Golf Pride Improvement Award
