The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour Alumni Spotlight features University of West Florida’s Golf Athlete
Hannah has been an outstanding player not only on the HJGT tour, but at the University of West Florida as well.
Prior playing at University of West Florida, Hannah had some impressive results during her high school career. Hannah attended Ponte Vedra High School where she was captain her junior and senior years and was also elected MVP her sophomore and junior years. In her senior year, she was given a Lifetime Achievement Award. Hannah was a District Champion (2014) and a Regional Champion (2013, 2015).
During her high school career, Hannah participated in a great number of HJGT Tournaments, and consistently finished with great results, throughout the 6 years she was involved with our tour. In 2012, Hannah claimed the title for 3 of our tournaments, and tied for second place at the College Prep Series at UF. In 2013, Hannah won second place at the prestigious Amelia National Junior Shootout and at the Nashville Junior Shootout as well. In her final year on the HJGT, Hannah played 4 tournaments with us, and was able to claim the second place trophy at the Perfect Putter 1st Coast Jr. Open.
In her Freshman year at the University of West Florida, Hannah finished in 56th place with a 82-89-85–256 at the Ross Resorts Invitational, while competing as an individual and she tied for sixth at the NCAA Regional Preview with a 74-74–148, earning her GSC Freshman of the Month honors. Hannah also teamed with senior Lauren Lamm to win the USGA Women’s Amateur Four Ball regional event at Vinoy Golf Club in Saint Petersburg, Fla. with a 65 score, earning qualification to the national tournament, May 27-31 at The Dunes Golf & Beach Club in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
